As a result of the merger on March 1, 2015, between HOMESTREET BANK and Simplicity Bank, Simplicity Bank no longer exists. HOMESTREET BANK is the surviving entity of the merger. HOMESTREET BANK is a FDIC-insured institution. Deposits held under HOMESTREET BANK or any of its trade names are not separately insured by the FDIC, but are combined to determine whether a depositor has exceeded the federal deposit insurance limit. Deposits of existing depositors who had accounts prior to the merger with both HOMESTREET BANK and Simplicity Bank will continue to be insured for all accounts for six months from the date of the merger or in the case of a time deposit the earliest maturity date after the six-month period and as provided for under 12 C.F.R. Part 330.4(b).
